Aber Menai is the SW entrance to the Menai Strait. The anchorage shown here is to the North side just inside Aber Menai point which is the slender terminal arm of Newborough Warren. The picture is taken approaching a low spring tide. Approach the anchorage carefully from the due South, the nearest port hand channel marker is not a good indication of the tail of the sandbank.
