olyhead is busy harbour and Ferry port and provides 24 hr access and good protection in all conditions. Take care with the high speed ferries who aproach very fast and leave a considerable wake. Within the mile long breakwater is a marina or you can pick up a vacant mooring off the Holyhead yacht club (radio them to ask)
The harbour lighthouse on the end of the breakwater is the only square lighthouse in Wales.
