Llanddwyn Island is that by name only as it is joined to Newborough Warren by a narrow neck of sand and a cement causeway. It is rugged and windswept but a delightful spot.
The lighthouse is at the SW end, overlooking the prongs of the Trident.
There are some Pilots cottages which once housed the pilots who guided boats in over Caernarfon Bar and so to the Menai Straits. Dansa is here at anchor off Pilots cove
The cove iteself dries at low water There are a number of fine little beaches, ideal for strolling and beachcombing.
