uffin island provides shelter from west to north and is a delightfully place to anchor for lunch or to await the tide. Aproach either NE of the island or if water depth allows across the spit which stretches out from Perch Beacon. A carefull study of the chart will reveal some transits to follow where there is most depth.
Landing is not allowed on the island but you can watch the nesting birds at the right season and there are often seals about. Here is the delightfully "Mary" sailing out of the anchorage
